Post Doctoral

PhD in Biometry at the Doctoral School of Agronomic and Water Sciences of the University of Abomey-Calavi, 2020:2023 on the topic:''Empirical Evaluation of Machine Learning Techniques for Disease Detection and Yield Prediction in Tomatoes under Simulated Climate and Infection Conditions"

MSc degree in Biostatistics on the topic: “using of the multivariate longitudinal data analysis to assess growth patterns of maize (Zea mays) in Benin, 2018

Bachelor degree in Agronomy with a specialization in Natural Resources Management, 2015

Research project (Max 200 words): Wastage of agricultural yield is almost 40 % due to lack of field monitoring, non-identified like disease. To optimize agricultural production, it is important to early detect plants diseases and apply adequate treatment to them.

The use of single-production function is widespread in agricultural sector for efficiency analysis since last decades. However, this approach is analytically inappropriate to accommodate the multi-input and multi-output production technology which is especially observed in the public sector, where policy makers usually face multi-dimensional decisions and budget trade-offs

Young women aspiring to high level science, she studied Agronomy at the Agricultural University of Ketou. There she graduated in Agronomy and Natural Resources Management (2013). Thereafter I pursued graduate studies in climate change and Education at The University of The Gambia (with WASCAL program). In 2015, she graduated and got a Master of Science degree in climate change and education. In 2017 she has started her post graduate studies in climate change and biodiversity at the University Felix Houphouet Boigny.

Souand Peace Gloria Tahi is a postdoctoral researcher in Biometry from Benin, with a strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning, and environmental data analysis. She holds a Master's degree in Biostatistics and completed a PhD in Biometry with DAAD, AI4D, and Mawazo scholarships. Her postdoctoral research focuses on unraveling the complex interplay of environmental dynamics, socioeconomic factors, and demographic determinants in tropical disease patterns in Sub-Saharan Africa, using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). In addition to her work on tropical diseases, Souand is also involved in improving maize yield prediction models by integrating real-world data, such as climate, soil, and sensor-based inputs, to support climate-resilient agriculture.
