Training Module in Data Management and Analysis with R Software: First Phase

The Laboratoire de Biomathématiques et d’Estimations Forestières (LABEF) facilitated a virtual training organized by RUFORUM from Monday, May 27 to Friday, May 31, 2024, on scientific data management and analysis for students using R software. This first phase saw the participation of over 600 participants from African universities. The training sessions were facilitated by a team from LABEF consisting of Ms. Souand TAHI (PhD candidate), Ms. Ariane HOUETOHOSSOU (PhD candidate), Dr. Valère SALAKO (Scientific Coordinator of LABEF), and Professor Romain GLELE KAKAÏ (Director of LABEF). The training focused on aspects such as: introduction to the use of R software, performing descriptive statistics in R, univariate and multivariate analyses, and simple and multiple linear regression. The participants, very satisfied with the five-day training, thanked RUFORUM for organizing the training and the LABEF facilitation team. RUFORUM also thanked the participants for their commitment and diligence during the training as well as the facilitation team.
