Research project

The global objective of my PhD project is to understand the impact of future climate change (CC) on the flora of Africa through the prediction and the evaluation of their impact on Non-Nimber Forest Products (NTFPs) and on the diversity of several tropical species. Especially this thesis will consist in: Modelling the distribution of NTFPs species in response to the future CC for different future time periods (2055, 2085); Evaluating the economic impact of climate change on NTFPs at local and global level in Africa; and determining the role of CC in the actual and future structuration of the genetic diversity of some tropical species.
